Description
Powercleats nails are designed for use in Powernailer floor nailers and are superior quality nails. At the heart of any nailing systems is the nail. And, while many nails may look similar, there are differences in quality that can mean the difference between a successful installation or one plagued with problems. Powercleats nails are designed for use with Powernailer nailers, are superior-quality nails and are FHA and VA approved. They meet the requirements of the MFMA (Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association), NOFMA (National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association) and NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association). Powercleats nails are made in the USA from USA produced high-quality steel so they do not bend while being driven into hard flooring materials. They are made with a well-formed set of barbs along each nail, providing the ultimate holding power. The design aids in driving them into hard flooring materials, which helps to eliminate split tongues in floorboards. When used in conjunction with Powernail's Powernailer line of nailers, Powercleats nails ensure trouble-free operation and optimum construction results. Powercleats nails are available in all sizes to fit all flooring applications and come in conveniently sized cartons. This chart will assist you in determining the proper length of Powercleats to use for various thicknesses of flooring when the sub flooring member varies as to species and thickness. Approximate vertical penetration of the Powercleat under the hardwood floor is shown for each application. This is only a guide. Results should be tested in the field before proceeding. 16 Gauge Nails (Models 445 XL, XS, LL, LS, SL, SS)

Work good in my flooring nailer. I’m putting hardwood floors in my houses, these hold the floor down, not much else to say!I am laying 3800 sqft of 2.25" hardwood flooring in my house, over thecourse of the winter. At first I was buying a couple boxes of 1000 name brand flooring nails every couple weeks. Then I found these and decided to give them a try. I like them better than the brand name sold at the stores. These look the same and perform the same in every way. But much cheaper. 1 thing I noticed with the brand named cleats is that every so often there would be a small piece of the plastic film that would be sticking out of the wood. If I didnt knock those off, I would see them sticking up between the floor boards. I assume the brand name nails have alot of the film holding them together, and occasionally have excess that gets nailed into the board. I dont know how this brand does it, but I dont have that issue with these. But they still have plenty of film so that they dont come apart, until your mailing shoots them into the floor.Great product. Get these and save yourselves some money.very goodI used these cleats for 3/4 pre-finished hardwood. I have used staples before, but I think that I prefer these. I laid around 1000 sq. ft. of flooring with very few misfires and they were all operator error. I had very few split tongues; these seemed to do better than staples in that aspect. I used a nail set made especially for L-cleats to correct misfires. Depending on how much of the cleat you have left exposed in this situation, you will likely bend the cleat. If you have to remove it, use a back and forth motion to snap off the exposed end. Also, they worked fine in my Bostich combo nailer. Another plus, the glue on the nails was intact in every box that I opened. There were no broken cleat loads or loose nails.Excellent value for quality cleats.I have used different kinds as a licensed hardwood installer and for no other than quality these feed through my nailer better than the rest. No jams means no down time... I like thatI purchased a few boxes of these. You cant beat the price. I used these nails to install 3/4 inch oak flooring and i had no issues whatsoever. They work just as good as the expensive brand name flooring nails.I have used Powernail products for 15 years. Just laid this floor. Zero misfires, zero defects, always my go-to brand.Excelente
